ID documents

As a result of recent laws ratified by the UK Parliament and which came into effect on 15th December 2007, our company is now obliged to take and verify customer ID from any client who uses our services more than once. We emphasise that this law applies without exception to all Money Transfer companies based in the UK.

We therefore require that, if you wish to utilise our services more than once, you must forward to us identifying documents that clarify your identity and also your home address. Please send us a certified copy of your passport or driving licence together with a utility bill, bank or credit card statement (sent to you within the last 3 months) in order to confirm your address. These can be scanned, digitally photographed or photocopied. You must also ask a responsible person (not related) to sign the documents with the following statement; 'this is a true copy of the original document'. They need to sign it along with their name, address and contact number and an official stamp (if they have one). This can be done by your boss, the bank, the post office, a minister, a nurse or a Doctor etc etc. You should then re-scan them (with signatures) and attach them (below), email them or post them to us at the given address.

Please note that Failure to provide the required documents will result in a delay in registration or delay in your transfers until they are received by Afritrans Ltd. If these documents are not received your registration will not be accepted.

You have our complete assurance that the information contained in these documents will remain confidential in our files; the documents will not be disclosed to any third party, as laid out in the Data Protection Act, 1998, to which we subscribe.
